Ceramic coating in Tallinn – gloss and protection for 1.5 to 5 years

A Labocosmetica ceramic coating is a hard, glass-like layer on top of the clear coat: water and dirt do not stick, salt and UV do not eat the paint, and washing takes half the time. Three durability levels, polishing always included.

What a ceramic coating is and what it does

We use professional ceramic coatings from Labocosmetica of Italy. A ceramic coating (SiO₂-based) bonds chemically with the clear coat and forms a thin, very hard, water-repellent layer. The result: deep gloss that lasts for years; water and dirt roll off, so washing is faster and needed less often; protection from winter salt, bird droppings, insects, tree sap and UV fading; far fewer wash scratches. Ceramic is not armour – against stone chips and deep scratches you need PPF film – but against everyday wear it is the best thing you can do for your paint.

Fix Wheels is a Labocosmetica-trained and certified detailer. That means the coating is applied to the manufacturer's protocol – correct preparation, number of layers, curing times and maintenance – and the durability promise is valid. We show the certificate on site.

Three levels – which to choose

1.5 years, €300 – gloss enhancement polish + one layer. Suits a new or well-kept car, or a lease car you return in 1–2 years. 3 years, €400 – 2-stage polish (scratches removed) + two layers. The most popular, suits a 2–8-year-old car. 5 years, €550 – the same polish + two layers + a reinforcing layer that gives a thicker, more durable coating. Suits a car you plan to keep, and dark colours where every scratch shows. SUVs and vans +20–30 %.

Why polishing is always included

Ceramic locks in the condition of the clear coat: if you coat scratched paint, the scratches stay visible under the protection for 3 years. That is why we always polish first – and why “ceramic for €150” on the market is really just wax. We measure the paint thickness before polishing so we never remove too much clear coat.

How the work goes – 1–2 days

1) Detailing exterior wash: iron removal, tar, clay bar. 2) Paint thickness measurement and polishing according to the level. 3) IPA wipe-down – the clear coat must be completely free of oil and wax, otherwise the ceramic will not bond. 4) Coating applied panel by panel, with curing time between layers. 5) Curing in a warm, dry room for 12–24 h – which is why the car stays with us overnight. 6) Handover with care instructions. The car must not be washed for the first 7 days – the coating is hardening.

Maintenance, so the durability really lasts

Ceramic needs the right washing: hand wash with pH-neutral shampoo, not automatic car wash brushes. Once a year we recommend an annual service (from €90): thorough wash, decontamination, coating check and a booster layer. This also keeps the durability promise valid. Washing a coated car is faster and cheaper with us than a normal exterior wash.

Ceramic for glass, wheels and leather too

Glass ceramic (from €80) – rain rolls off the windscreen by itself at 70+ km/h, and ice is easier to remove in winter. Wheel ceramic (from €100) – brake dust does not bake on, wheels come clean with water. Leather protection (from €150) – jeans dye and grease do not stain light leather. Ordered together with the body, the package price is lower.
