Hand wash vs automatic car wash – why you can see the difference

Automatic car wash brushes carry the previous car's grit onto your paint and leave micro-scratches that show up as “swirl marks” in the sun. We wash using the two-bucket method: a pre-wash with snow foam that dissolves dirt before anything touches the paint, then a soft wash mitt with pH-neutral shampoo, rinse and microfibre drying. The standard exterior wash (€35 car, €40 SUV) includes cleaning the wheels and wheel arches, tyre dressing, cleaning the glass inside and out and wiping the door jambs. Time 45–60 minutes.

Detailing exterior wash – when a normal wash is not enough

The detailing exterior wash (€70 / €80) is a two-stage process: after the hand wash we remove from the paint what shampoo cannot – iron particles from brake dust (a special solution that turns purple), tar and tree sap with solvent, and the layer of bonded contamination with a clay bar. Finally we apply wax or a synthetic sealant that adds gloss and keeps the paint cleaner for 2–3 months. It is the right choice before polishing, after winter, or if the car has only ever been through automatic car washes.

Interior clean – quick or thorough

The quick clean (€30 / €35) is vacuuming, wiping the plastics and glass – ideal for weekly upkeep. The thorough dry clean (€50 / €55) adds brushing the seats and floor, cleaning the door pockets, air vents and centre console gaps, the boot and a plastics dressing. Combined with an exterior wash the package costs €70 / €80 – our most popular service.

Shampoo clean – when the stains are in the fabric

Coffee, pet hair, children's sweets, cigarette smell – these sit in the fabric, not on the surface. The shampoo clean is done with an extractor that forces cleaning solution into the fabric and pulls the dirt out with the water. A spot stain or one seat €40; the whole interior (seats, floor, headlining, door cards, boot) from €200; the detailing level from €350 adds deep cleaning of the plastics, leather seat care and seat belt cleaning. The interior is driveable after 3–4 hours and completely dry in 24 hours – which is why an overnight booking is convenient: in the morning the car is dry and clean.

Polishing – three stages, measured first

Before polishing we measure the paint thickness on every panel – so we know how much can be removed and never polish through. Gloss enhancement, 1-stage (from €120), removes light dullness and wash marks; the result is visible immediately. 2-stage (from €250) uses a cutting and a finishing compound and removes most scratches you cannot feel with a fingernail. Full 3-stage correction (from €650) is a complete clear coat restoration for deeper scratches, oxidised paint or heavy swirl marks – 1–2 days of work. After every polish we recommend protection – wax (2–4 months) or a ceramic coating (1.5–5 years, €300–550), otherwise the result is gone within six months.

Leather care and odour removal

Leather seats dry out and crack if not cared for: we clean the leather with a special brush and cleaner, then apply a conditioner that keeps it soft and protects it from UV (from €100). Ozone odour removal (from €50) destroys bacteria and odour molecules in the air, fabric and ventilation – it works against smoke, mould and pet smells, where air fresheners only mask them.

Pre-sale preparation – it pays for itself

A clean, polished, odour-free car sells faster and for €300–800 more, because the buyer has nothing to haggle over. We recommend the package: detailing exterior wash + interior shampoo clean + gloss enhancement polish + odour removal. Also ideal for lease returns, where every stain and scratch has a price in the contract.

Stickers, films and fleets

We remove advertising stickers and films including adhesive residue without damaging the paint – price by arrangement according to the area. For company fleets we offer overnight washing: we collect the cars in the evening and in the morning they are back in the car park clean, with no interruption to the working day.

With prior booking we work around the clock Mon–Fri, weekends by arrangement. Before a bigger job (polishing, shampoo clean) we inspect the car together and agree the exact price – no surprises on the invoice.
