Car polishing in Tallinn – scratches and dullness gone, paint preserved
Three polishing stages according to the condition of the paint. We measure the paint thickness before every job, so we never polish through. Gloss enhancement polish at €120 is the best value in Tallinn.
Which polish your car needs
Look at the car in the sun. If the paint is simply dull and lacks gloss – gloss enhancement 1-stage (from €120), 3–4 hours. If you can see swirl marks, i.e. fine circular wash scratches – 2-stage (from €250), cutting and finishing compound, 1 day. If you can feel the scratches with a fingernail, the paint is oxidised or there are holograms from a previous bad polish – full 3-stage correction (from €650), 1–2 days. We tell you honestly after inspection which stage is needed – and if a scratch is through the clear coat, we tell you that too, because then only painting will help.
Why we measure the paint
Factory clear coat is 35–60 microns thick. Each polish removes 2–5 microns. If the car has already been polished once or twice, the next one may go through the clear coat – and then the panel needs painting. We measure every panel with a thickness gauge before the work and tell you if any area must not be touched. This is why “cheap polishing in a car park” often ends up expensive.
How it works
1) Detailing exterior wash: hand wash, iron removal, tar, clay bar – not a single grain of grit may be left under the polishing pad. 2) Paint thickness measurement and a panel-by-panel plan. 3) Machine polishing, each panel 2–4 passes, checked under an inspection lamp. 4) IPA wipe-down to remove oil residue and check the result. 5) Protection: wax or synthetic sealant that keeps the gloss and makes washing easier.
Protection after polishing
Polished paint is “open” and gets dirty faster if not protected. The best option is a ceramic coating (1.5–5 years, €300–550 including polishing); the cheaper option is wax or a synthetic sealant (2–4 months) – and hand wash only from then on. Automatic car wash brushes undo the polishing result within six months.
Headlight restoration
Yellowed, cloudy headlights are a safety risk – up to 50 % less light gets through – and a remark at the MOT. We sand, polish and coat them with UV protection, €70 each. The result is like new headlights, without the €300–800 price of a new unit.
At night and with pick-up too
Polishing takes a day – so it is convenient to drop the car off in the evening and collect it ready in the morning. With prior booking we work around the clock Mon–Fri, and we collect your car for €25 within Tallinn. For pre-sale preparation we combine polishing with a shampoo clean and odour removal.
Car polishing in Tallinn – frequently asked questions
How long does polishing take?
Gloss enhancement 3–4 h, 2-stage 1 day, 3-stage 1–2 days. You can leave the car overnight.
Does polishing remove all scratches?
Scratches in the clear coat, yes. If a scratch goes through the clear coat to the paint (a deep groove you can feel with a fingernail), only painting will help – we tell you before the work.
How often can a car be polished?
2-stage no more than 2–3 times in the car's lifetime, gloss enhancement once a year. That is why we measure the paint thickness.
Does the price depend on the size of the car?
Yes, SUVs and vans usually add 20–30 %. We give the exact price by registration number or photo.
Do I need wax after polishing?
Strongly recommended – without a protective layer the result is gone within six months.
